All good ideas. I'm thinking in the short term the next new feature will be contraband items, like pirate versions of ships, weapons, upgrades, and cargo. They'll be better than the regular version of those ships, but you'll be attacked by military ships orbiting certain planets.

To address the high end of the game, I think I could space out the ships cost more. Maybe make a few more weapons that cost more as well.

Default Weapon suggestion

A laser beam would be nice in a later vervion. It could either be a soild, straight beam, or a wave beam. There could be different colors to represent the damage.

A long ranged weapon would be a nice aditionas well. Almost like a sniper rifle; long ranged, slow firing, high damage; gun. Avoiding ships would be hard so...

Emergency thrusters for a weapon. Cargo ships can use them to escape close ancounters with accurate weapons. The thrusters would take a long time to recharge, but would almost double a ships speed.

For players that don't have a star account, regular ships should be availible to them, but for a hefty price. They would be expensive, lesser versions of all the star acount ships.

I would have to disagree about the emergency thrusters. There is no drag in space, and all you have to do is align to your destination and hit them. You'll be there in half the time and noone can catch you. This also means making money twice as fast. Which leads me to all ships available at a higher price. It'll be even easier to make money from trading. These guys deserve monetary compensation for what they developed and they have been extremely generous as it is by allowing purchase of the game at 50% off for the forseeable future. At one dollar.

There seems to be one or two too fast Black Stars in the game now. They seem to be able to overtake my Mammon, which I have tricked out for maximum speed, which should be impossible. Are they admin super ships? Fighting them is totally impossible because you cannot make a fast run by them and take potshots.

Estefanoz, there is only one fast black star, he doesnt know how it happened though, and as long as your with me, he won't bother you, as i said on my thread, your welcome to join us,

And now to address Parcel, about the constant laser beam idea,
i know this game seems to resemble star wars a bit more, but if you consider star trek(and don't think im a nerd, i just pay attention) in star trek they use the constant beams to just lower shields, then use torpedos for the finishing blows. I do realize there is already some weapons with similar uses, weapons that effect shields more and weapons that effect armor more, but its just something to think about.

Cool On top of wep conversions

I think there should be weapon slot addons. So you can buy 5 primaries and have a shotgun of level one primaries, that would be cool, same for secondaries... If you are a black star, it would own to have 2 black star cannons shooting 1 bullet so it would be like this: O=== ==€ or something like that...

Maybe cargo space addons and the max you can have for both is 5. And they should cost the motherload too! For the cargo addons, each one adds 1 cargo space unit. For each wep addon it should allow you to equip 1 more weapon.

Also, I think upgrades should show on ships... Unless it lags too much or gives too much away.

For each addon, any other upgrades should factor the addons in as the base stat.

Also, the secondary weapon button shouldn't dissappear. It's kind of annoying...

Hello this is my first post but I was thhibking that maybe you could add engines that are upgradeaball( is that how u spell it) so say u can buy new engines and really mAke ur own ship

I had like the upper end ships to be fighters instead of shippers to prevent people from getting runaway money, the new ships and weapons would be intended to be a money sink for rich players.

Here is where my line of thinking has been of late toward surface combatants, viewing the trends of technology and war at sea.The New Battleships-Guided Missile Frigates (Combining the attributes of guided missile cruisers, destroyers, and frigates)
The New Destroyer-The Missile Armed Corvette (High end but low cost missile escort)
The New Frigate-Offshore Patrol Vessels (General Purpose Escort and Patrol Vessel)
With newer technology plus numbers, I think these ships would be as capable as the very heavy super destroyers and frigates which are still geared to fight the Soviet Navy of the last century. The European navies, with their handful of high end ships, could fill up their numbers by purchasing low end OPVs and patrol ships. A helicopter equipped OPV with a helicopter could be performing the same function as the ultra-sophisticated Tromp is doing in the Gulf, garnering all the headlines. Or two or 3 such vessels working together.With many smaller ships, the Western fleets could reverse the trends of declining naval assets that have plagued them for most of the last century. As everyone here has noted, this has come about because of increasingly sensitive, expensive and bulky radars, missiles, propulsion systems etc. But as you see with the ongoing fight with pirates and smugglers, you don’t always need a missile battleship or nuclear submarine for sea control. So, you balance your high end vessels (which you don’t need alot of because they are so capable) with many low end ships to maintain sea control.But every warship doesn’t have to be a battleship, and shouldn’t. If that’s all you have then you are actually less capable because you are stretched thin and weakened, subject to destruction piecemeal, because you can’t build enough of them to be in many places at once. The tyranny of numbers rule for a global fleet.
